Monument Crisis Center Hosts Creative Art Classes for Clients!

Feeling artsy?

Monument Crisis Center offers 6 diverse programs, including our expansive Health and Wellness Program! There have been a multitude of classes and workshops that spark creativity and restore wellness for all who attend.

The amazing Nurse Bree takes her attendees on an adventure through creative mediums such as succulent art, drawing, music, painting, and more. This space allows guests to return to a place of childlike joy and expression.

“The best part of facilitating a class is seeing clients smile, connect with others, and enjoy their time in class. I enjoy creating a welcoming and relaxed environment where clients can learn and be creative at their own pace,” said Nurse Bree.

Her presence in the community is inspiring for our clients, specifically our seniors who frequent our center. She has built meaningful connections through her classes, and her goal is to create an overall feeling of fun and familiarity.

“What I enjoy most about working with clients at MCC is seeing their creativity and personalities shine through the work they create and watching them take pride in what they made. I like seeing clients have fun, laugh, and enjoy spending time together.”

Our team member Wendy Matias supported many of Nurse Bree’s classes as a translator this year and said, “Being a Bilingual Community Health Worker, I was able to break this language barrier and ensure a smooth workshop for the seniors so that they felt comfortable and included throughout the workshops. I was touched by every moment during the workshop. Even though this may seem like a small act, it still made an impact on the seniors.”

Nurse Bree will be hosting a class on August 24, 2026.

If you are interested in attending Nurse Bree’s next class in August, you can sign up by asking our staff in person during our in-person programs or call Chris Venenciano at (925) 222-6878.
