Volunteers are the heart of our organization Donating over 1,500 hours of service each month, we are supported by volunteers from many of the local middle and high schools, colleges, community organizations, employees of local companies, churches, and individuals who care. |

- Groups may not be larger than 4 people in the morning or larger than 8 people in the afternoon.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (a ratio of one adult for every two children is preferred).
- Children younger than 8 are not permitted to volunteer in the food room.
- Children between the ages of 8 and 15 may only volunteer in the afternoon.
- Groups of adults may work up to 4 hours shifts. Children may not work longer than 2 hours.
Volunteer Dress Code
Please do not come dressed in any of the following:
-Strapless or Spaghetti Strap tops or dresses
-Tank tops
-Midriff tops
-Shorts more than two inches above the knee
-Skirts more than two inches above the knee
-Sweat Pants
-Undershirts
-Garments with potentially offensive text or graphics
-Open toe shoes or sandals
-Swimwear must be one piece
Exceptions to the standards of workplace attire may be made for volunteers who:
-Participate special events such as fieldtrips or fundraisers
-Must volunteer in the uniform of their organization
-Wear cultural or religious garb

Volunteer Statistics
- On the fiscal year of 2008-2009 our volunteers put in 18,264 hours of work
- Our high school volunteers put in more than a thousand hours of work for the Kids Summer Program
